Every year approx. 19.5 mio. people fly with Thai Airways International around the world. Since July 2005 passengers from Zurich know the true promise of flying to Thailand with the new Airbus 340-600 of Thai Airways. The new aircraft is the most modern airliner on Zurich Airport. Its dimensions are impressive: in total 267 passengers and approx. 30 t of cargo can be transported in the version of the Thai Airways aircraft.

Onboard of Thai Airways International passengers can choose three classes: the Royal First Class with eight comfortable and extensible flat seats. The Royal Silk Class divided into two sections with in total 60 Lie-Flat-Seats and the Economy Class with 199 seats. With the Royal Silk Class the exclusive travel experience starts already with reservation and ends when the guest has arrived at his or her destination. The Star Alliance Business Lounge on Zurich Airport and the Royal Orchid Lounge in Bangkok invite to dwell. Most recent communication techniques are available. Thus the time up to boarding can be used in an optimum way.
Fly Thai – in a comfortable bed
Distance between seats in the Royal Silk Class is very spacious with more than 152 cm. The seat can be inclined to 170 degrees so that it can be turned into a comfortable bed with a length of 190 cm. Comfortable rest and relaxation is guaranteed to the passengers due to the dual-section-configuration with 24 and 36 seats. The seats and seat shells resp. fascinate by their flexible adjustment possibilities which can be controlled by a remote control.
Fly Thai – with a huge choice of entertainment
Interactive consumer electronics in each seat permits individual entertainment. On large-sized LCD screens (26.5 cm) an almost endless selection of audio and video programmes in several languages as well as interactive computer games is available. 30 films, 110 music CDs as well as 31 games let time "fly". The screens are installed on the back of the front seat and can either be operated via the touchscreen or the hand set. Power supply for notebooks of course is available as well in order to ensure maximum working convenience onboard.
Fly Thai – the right choice
Onboard the passengers can indulge in the Thai, Asian and international Gourmet Cuisine. The meals are served in a high-quality china of filigree, Asian design. The passengers of the Royal Silk Class benefit also from the so-called Fast Tracks, separate «Service Desks» at Bangkok Airport permitting a far more rapid arrival and departure.
