How do I make a reservation?
Reservation can be made and ticket purchased at THAI ticket offices, authorized travel agents, and via Royal e-Booking service.

What is THAI Phone?
Passengers can access automatic response flight details and other information 24 hours a day by dialling 1566 in Bangkok, or (02) 1566 within Thailand and listening to the instructions.

Am I permitted to stopover en route?
You may stopover at any scheduled stop permitted by THAI's regulations and those of the country in which you are breaking your journey.

Are there non-smoking flights?
THAI has reached another major milestone by becoming one of the few world airlines to implement a fully non-smoking policy.
Due to popular demand by an overwhelming proportion of its passengers, THAI became a total non-smoking airline in March 1999. This smoking ban, which will apply to all THAI flights, on all routes, international and domestic, reflects growing public concerns about the health risks of "passive smoking" in relatively confined spaces.

What if I lose my ticket?
If you lose an entire or a partially-used ticket, please contact the nearest THAI office immediately. Refund or replacement of the ticket is at THAI's discretion and requires your presenting proof of loss. In some cases, you may be asked to buy a new ticket and file a claim for a refund later.

Do I need to reconfirm my flight?

THAI no longer requires that you reconfirm your flight but please contact THAI to cancel your reservation if your travel plans change. Many airlines still require reconfirmation. If your journey includes a portion on another airline you may have to reconfirm onward journeys at least 72 hours before departure.

What if I have to cancel my flight?
Please cancel your reservation as soon as you intend to change your travel plans. Flight changes or cancellation should be made at least 3 hours prior to flight departure. On domestic services, no-show penalty will be levied if you fail to cancel your booked reservation.

If I cancel, can I get a refund?
Refunds may be granted if a refund application is filed with THAI not more than 30 days after the ticket's expiration date. A service charge is assessed to cover refund processing. The fee varies depending on the country; please contact THAI office in your country for details.

What do the codes on my ticket mean?
When you contact THAI about your flight, the agent may ask you for certain information printed on your ticket. This is how to read it:

Reservation Code or PNR: Find it in the "Airline Data" box. Fare Type: Located in the "Fare Basis" box. Airline and Flight: Printed in "Carrier" and "Flight No." Class and Date: Find them in the "Class" and "Date" boxes. Departure Time: Located in the "Time" box. Reservation status: The "Status" box lists one of these codes:

OK: You are confirmed on the flight.
RQ: "Requested". You are on a waiting list.
NS: "No Seat". This refers to an infant not occupying a seat.

Ticket Validity: Found in the "Not Valid Before" and "Not Valid After" boxes.

Can I order special meals?
Passengers who submit their requests 48 hours prior to departure, can be served special menus to suit religious and health preferences.

Is there a Child's Fare?
For an Infant (up to 2 years of age), the fare for international and domestic flights is 10% of the full fare; the infant cannot occupy a seat. For a Child (2-12 years of age), the fare for a seat on a domestic flight is 50% of the full fare. The Child fare for international flights is 50% or 67% of the full fare, depending on the country of origin and destination.

What if my child must travel alone?
THAI aids Unaccompanied Minors (UM) between 5 and 11 years of age, provided they comply with our rules. The parent must go to THAI office in person to complete a form providing details of the parent or guardian who will see the child off and will meet the child on arrival. When the child arrives at check-in, ground staff will help him/her complete formalities. They will accompany the child to the aircraft and introduce him/her to the cabin attendants who will care for the child during the flight. At the destination, ground staff will escort the child to meet the parent or guardian designated on the form.

Are there special children's meals?
THAI serves special child and infant meals. Requests must be made at least 48 hours before departure. You cannot request specific brands of baby meals or powder milk.

Are there onboard facilities for infants?
Request them in advance. There are free baby bassinets for infants weighing not more than 10 kgs. They can be attached to bulkhead anchors. Parents can use their own baby car seat provided it has been certified by the government of manufacturer's country and provided the infant is flying on a child's fare ticket. Diapers are available onboard and there are fold-down diaper changing shelves in the toilets.
